What Leaders and Organizations Say
These are the words of practitioners, executives, and community members who have experienced this work firsthand, in training rooms, strategy sessions, and long-term partnerships.
These reflections come from individuals I’ve worked with through coaching and mentorship, navigating career transitions, graduate school decisions, and professional growth.
Theresa coached me through a transitional period while I was navigating important career decisions and applying to graduate school. With her support, I applied to multiple master’s programs and received major scholarships. She helped me map out a clear path forward in a way that made everything feel manageable and real. Through our work together, I gained clarity on my values and the confidence to move forward with intention.

When I started working with Theresa, I was navigating increased leadership responsibilities while also going through the graduate school application process. Through our work together, I developed a stronger sense of professional confidence and assertiveness. I began speaking up more in meetings and intentionally building new professional connections. She helped me reframe how I approach challenges, shifting from self-doubt to growth and curiosity.

When we started, I was navigating uncertainty around my next steps, networking, and advocating for myself. Putting myself out there felt uncomfortable, and I wasn’t always sure I had the standing to ask for what I wanted. Working with Theresa shifted that. She pushed me to own my space, have audacity, and center what actually makes me happy. One question she asked stuck with me: What do you have to lose? Do you have something to gain? That reframe changed how I approach risk and opportunities. Since then, I’ve advocated for myself in ways I wouldn’t have before, and networking no longer feels as intimidating. I feel more confident, open, and willing to make moves that align with my goals.

Courageous leaders embrace their vulnerability, and only through expressing vulnerability that a culture of belonging and engagement can emerge. So thank you for just not sharing the facts, but being a leader in improving our workforce culture and ultimately, our patient outcomes.

Thank you again for your presentation and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to hear it. It has personally triggered a lot of emotions and soul searching for me. I will use all I learned from this and educate my team and also work in applying it to my work and personal life. I sincerely hope this will be a catalyst for change here in our company and also our society.
▬ Edwin Medrano, Ambulatory Care Manager, Steward
This was my favorite workshop of the conference and what I found the most valuable! I love that the presenter demonstrated vulnerability and opened up space for all of us to be vulnerable. I am using the art of story-telling in all my meetings in my work, whether it is one-one or in groups. This was so powerful!!
▬ Anonymous, Attendee from New England Regional Service Coordinator Conference
Nice job with today’s training Theresa. It is just enough information, presented in a compelling way, coupled with a smooth oratory style that you must have been honing for many years. Clearly you reached this audience.
